Vitasel E – REDLANDS

Vitasel E is a highly concentrated blend of Selenium & Vitamins A, E & B1, designed for horses that suffer from or may be susceptible to “tying up.” Developed and researched over many years by Australia’s leading equine specialists, Vitasel E is a proven, specialty product.

“Tying Up” – A Common Problem

“Tying up” refers to muscle stiffness, usually in the back legs, which is a problem in performance horses, especially during early training, or in young fillies on high oat diets. Horses returning to hard work after a spell can also be prone to “tying up.” It’s a complex biochemical issue in muscles, preventing energy release and normal muscle contraction.

Prevention is Better Than Cure

A preventative program for performance horses includes:

1. Work the horse each day, with light work even on rest days.
2. Feed Redlands Equilyte electrolyte mixture daily.
3. Administer Redlands Vitasel E orally, mixed into feed every 28 days. In severe cases, consult a veterinarian for more frequent administration.

Vitasel E should not be administered if other forms of selenium are already being used. Ideally, it should be given 2-3 days prior to an event, or immediately after, for the best results. Vitasel E is not a prohibited substance and does not contravene the rules of racing.

• Serve size: 30g
